About Dion
I'm Dion McCurdy, Founder and Principal Lawyer at Direct Lawyers, proudly serving families across Brisbane and South East Queensland. With over 12 years in Wills and Estates law and a strong background in estate litigation, planning, and trusts, I help people make informed legal decisions that protect their future.
I hold a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology from The University of Queensland, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from QUT (GPA 6.8/7). I also completed the Legal Practice Management course through the College of Law Brisbane.
Before launching Direct Lawyers in September 2020, I worked at multiple law firms and served as an Adjunct Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland. I’ve also been featured in the Brisbane Times for my civic work with NewVote, and today, I continue my passion for community service through epicpathways.org.au.
What I enjoy most about my work is providing clarity and peace of mind to families—especially when I meet clients in their homes, where discussions feel more personal and meaningful.
